Fujimaru Senda is your typical sixteen-year-old boy, with a few exceptions. He has an active imagination that fuels his wet dreams. He enjoys spending quite a bit of alone time in the bathroom with dirty magazines, etc. You’re wondering his exceptions, right? Fujimaru has an extreme attachment to his little brother, Minato. He loves his little brother so much; no one seems to match up. His other exception is he has an incubus named Rei feasting upon Fujimaru’s erotic dreams.

After moving into his late great-grandfather’s home, Fujimaru’s dirty dreams awaken Rei, an incubus living in the home. Normally Incubi feed on women’s erotic fantasies, but for some strange reason Rei is only able to feed off men. He has taken a liking to Fujimaru and tries to do everything in his power to get Fujimaru to cooperate. He even goes so low as to bring Minato into the equation. Begrudgingly, Fujimaru agrees to helping out Rei. Poor Fujimaru, being sexually harassed by a sexy incubus. What is he to do?

Fujimaru is conflicted. He seems somewhat attracted to Rei and what Rei can do, but he also wants to have normal fantasies about girls. Against his better judgement he joins the school’s Occult Research Club. It’s more like he’s bribed to join. The other two club members want to study Fujimaru since Rei possesses him. But once Rei gets enough power from Fujimaru, he’ll be able to manifest himself physically, and can leave Fujimaru’s dreams. Of course he’ll have to be in contact with Fujimaru to maintain his human form. Fujimaru has quite the mess!

When I first picked up Mister Mistress vol. 1, I had no idea what an incubus was. I had to look it up. I know, I’m lame! I really liked this manga. The art is so cute. Fujimaru is totally adorable! Minato is also very, very cute. I can see why he’s the apple of Fujimaru’s eye. Rei is drop dead gorgeous. Why can’t men in real life look like him? The seme and uke roles are well defined and fall into the textbook roles. Rei is cool and forceful, Fujimaru protests a little too loudly but enjoys himself. Even though the plot is somewhat formulaic, it is a fun read. I suggest you check it out if you want a fun yaoi romp.
